Langauge
People in Mallorca speak Spanish (also referred to as 'Castilian' or 'Castellano', a variety of the Spanish language spoken in central Spain) and Mallorquí, a local variant of Catalán which can change slightly depending on the location. However, due to the large numbers of foreign tourists visiting the island, English and German are widely spoken.
Airport
Palma de Mallorca Airport IATA: PMI, ICAO: LEPA) is an international airport located 8 km east of the capital, Palma de Mallorca adjacent to the village of Can Pastilla. It is the third largest airport in Spain, after Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona. During the summer months it is one of the busiest airports in Europe. The airport was used by 26.2 million passengers in 2016. It has a VIP terminal.
